Recommended headsets - Jabra

General: This headset which is designed by ex Bang & Olufsen Designer, Jacob Jensen is often referred to as the most stylish headset around and it is certainly one of our firm favourites here at blubell. JX10 is available in silver, black and red finishes – all technically identical. One caution though: Ebay is flooded with alleged JX10s selling for unrealistically low prices, and quite a few of them are actually non-Jabra produced illegal copies. To be sure you get the genuine article, we’d recommend that you buy from a reputable retailer like Amazon.com

Bluetooth Version: 1.2, Class 2 (10m nominal range)

Pairing: JX10 paired easily with various computers and dongles and never dropped the pairing once it was achieved.
Rating:

Sound quality: Good, clear and powerful sound quality both incoming and outgoing – and visibly much stronger than most others (confirmed when setting voice tags in the blubell recording strength indicator). Background noise is not a problem with this headset due to the powerful speaker; we never had any problems having a conversation or recognising voice tags over the JX10.
Rating:

Physical fit: Left/right reversible behind-ear bracket is stylish, easy to clip-on and change but note: It is very brittle – ours broke after 2 months of intensive use. JX10 can also be inserted directly in the ear without the bracket – which is surprisingly comfortable, but not secure if you move about a lot while you talk.
Rating:

Range: Maximum unobstructed range we achieved with our Class 1 reference dongle was a respectable12 meters line-of-sight.

Accessories: JX10 comes with an extra ear-bracket (you will need it!), carry pouch, power supply, desk cradle and a short USB charging lead which is great if you travel and want to charge it from your PC.
Rating:

Summary: JX10 is a well performing headset that grows on you the more you use it. Having used it for some time, everything else seems strangely clumsy afterwards proving that size really does matter – when it comes to Bluetooth.
